They’re the bomb, BUT……read below
"The sts shock package transformed how my 170 Sprinter handles, it’s a night and day improvement over the wimpy stock units. BUT, when you call and order and one of the Agile guys recommends also adding at least the upper shear brackets, listen to them. The rear Fox shocks are considerably stiffer than the stock units and it’s not a question of if, but rather when you will shear off your upper shock bolt. Unfortunately, I ordered my sts package online and never called for any advice. This was all about a month prior to writing this review. Fast forward to a two days ago 01-27-26 and the wife and I were cruising into Yuma, AZ preparing to cross over into Baja for our yearly trip down to La Ventana. She was taking a turn at the wheel and I noticed the van was bouncing around oddly and rattling in the back. After pulling over and inspecting I discovered the upper shock bolt had sheared and the shock was now striking the rubber brake line. Not good. I pulled the shock completely off and we cruised into a truck stop in town to figure out the next move. If you own a Sprinter you more than likely adore it and hate it at the same time. Mainly because sourcing parts is a dumpster fire at best. Anyway, the closest Mercedes dealer was back in Tucson so that wasn’t gonna work. Just by chance I googled the main location for Agile Offroad and bam, 2. 5 hrs away. I called them the following morning and they were more than happy to help. Long story a little shorter, we drove to their Santee,CA shop and picked up the upper and lower brackets they build for the shocks, which also come with a new, heavier upper bolt. While there they informed us a lot of folks opt out of the additional cost of the shear brackets. Don’t do this, you WILL be sorry. We were able to get the situation sorted in an Autozone parking lot because I’m paranoid and carry a garage full of tools with me. Luckily the stud came out easily, which never happens, and we only lost a day on our trip. As I’m writing this I’m sitting on a beach first day into Baja. The guys at Agile Offroad are knowledgeable and good people."
