The chrome-plated shaft provides long-term resistance against pitting and scratches. "What I say, these are amazing shocks. I upgraded from the Mercedes Sprinter factory Monroe shocks, which apparently were dead. I noticed a big improvement with rear clearance and ride quality right away. I don't do much off road, but it's good to have good rear shocks."
"Don’t know why I waited 4 months to upgrade my rear shocks on my Sprinter. It should be installed in the first 24 hours of ownership. It’s a 30 minute install. Used a hydraulic jack to compress the shock for the install. Super easy basic install and unbelievably safer drive."
